La Reine Pedauque : FAQ

The barge

The crew : trained and qualified, english speaking
4 Suites : en suite bathrooms, TV, air-conditioning, opening port-holes
2 decks : the lift and stairs give to access the cabins
Power supply : electricity is 240 volts, US/UK adaptors available, shore power is used at night
Water supply : 10 tonnes of fresh water, bottled drinking water is always available

How long in advance should I reserve ? : As soon as possible, La Reine Pedauque is a highly reputed barge and often reserved many months in advance.
Can I reserve directly ? : Yes please use the reservation form, there are special discounts for reservations.
Can I charter the complete barge ? : Yes, the barge can accommodate charter groups for 6 to 8 passengers, if your group contains more than 8 people please contact us to arrange a cruise with more than one barge.

Are my cruise dates available ? : Please use the reservation form and indicate your desired cruise dates.
7 day cruises : begin on Friday and end the following Thursday.
4 day cruises : can begin on Friday and end Monday, or they can begin on Monday and end Thursday.
Cruise program : the barge cruises near Dijon in the Ouche Valley on the Burgundy Canal, here is a sample itinerary.
Excursions : with English speaking guide and tour bus, included in cruise price.

I have a special diet : This is no problem, please inform us before departure and your chef will prepare as required. You can always contact us now with your requirements.
Is the cuisine good ? : Yes, excellent, your chef purchases all the food locally and is a highly trained French chef.

Are wines included ? : All wines served on board during meals, selected wines in the restaurant. During the cruise you will be introduced to a large selection of quality French wines.
Is there a bar on board ? : Yes, the is an open bar, all drinks are on the house from fruit juices to Cocktails and strong alcohol.

Is there wheel chair access ? : Yes, two cabins have complete wheel chair access; a bus with a wheel chair lift is used for all the excursions use.
Can children also be on board ? : Yes, we welcome children, please note that children under 12 years of age do not pay!
